There have been dozens of popular and interesting villains throughout the pages of Marvel Comics but there is one that is not common to the population and this villain is known as The Purple Man AKA Dr. Zebediah Kilgrave.
I will inform you on the backstory of this interesting character and give you some interesting facts about said character.
Dr. Kilgrave was born in Croatia and he was an international spy. Kilgrave was given the mission to infiltrate a chemical refinery. on this mission Kilgrave was splashed with some acid that mutated his physical form, giving him purple skin and hair. that however wasn't the only that the acid gave Kilgrave. He was also granted the ability of been able to make people do whatever he wanted. Now titled the Purple Man, Kilgrave turned his life to crime.
The Purple Man has the ability to make people do what ever he wanted. This has allowed him to succeed in the life of crime. In one famous storyline, Alias, The Purple Man took control of Jessica Jones and mentally tortured her 8 months and made her do things she did not want to do.
The Purple Man first appeared in Daredevil Volume 1 #4 in 1964.
I find this character really interesting as he is more of a street level hero and his objective is to never take over the world so he is not the traditional supervillian. I also love how sadistic and ruthless he is.
